Brighton will celebrate promotion to the Premier League with an open-top bus tour and civic reception, the club has announced.
The Seagulls secured a return to the top flight for the first time since 1983 over the Easter weekend and the city council will lay on a seafront parade on May 14.
'Brighton & Hove City Council leader Warren Morgan has invited Albion's players, chairman, directors, management and staff for an open-top bus tour and civic reception on Sunday, May 14,' the club revealed on their official website.
'The council have confirmed they will honour Albion's promotion heroes, with the bus tour of the city and reception, after they clinched a place in the Premier League with Monday's 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic.
'The parade will be along the seafront and is expected to start at around late afternoon/early evening.
'Brighton & Hove City Council are working with the club to finalise exact plans and further details will be released in due course.'
Chris Hughton's side were guaranteed their first-ever promotion to the Premier League following Huddersfield's 1-1 draw at Derby on Monday evening and can win the Sky Bet Championship title with a sixth straight win at Norwich on Friday.
