DJ Premier Drops Boom-Bap Track Our Streets Feat. A$AP Ferg [LISTEN]
For those of you yearning for that classic boom-bap sound, DJ Premier delivers a certified banger with Our Streets featuring A$AP Ferg .

On the head-nod-inducing jam, Fergenstein spits tough-talking bars over Premos soulful drum loop, turntable scratches and sampled ad-libs (See this is Harlem, these our streets). The Harlem rapper pays tribute to the late Gang Starr founder Guru on the song.

"It's me, the F-E-R to the fucking G / My bars is Gang Starr, nobody can fuck with me / Rest in peace Guru, nobody can fuck with he / You rappers is cookoo, better wake up out your fucking dreams," he raps.

This is the first time Premier and Ferg have collaborated on a song and hopefully, there will be more collabs in the future.

It's a dream to be able to work with the legendary DJ Premier on this record said Ferg. Preemo has worked with all the NYC hip hop icons and greats - Nas, Biggie, Guru, Hov, KRS-One, and The Lox. Just knowing I was working with him pushed me as an MC.

Our Streets is available now on iTunes and it's a must cop.

This is the first song released by the newly relaunched Payday Records. Patrick Moxey, who is the President and Founder of Ultra Records, Ultra Music and Ultra International Music Publishing, originally formed Payday Records in New York in 1992.

Payday was the first record label to sign JAY-Z, releasing his first single In My Lifetime in 1995. Other artists signed to Payday during the so-called "Golden Era" of hip-hop include Showbiz & AG, Group Home, Jeru the Damaja, Guru, Mos Def (via his first group U.T.D.) and WC and the Maad Circle.
