The Premier League returns Saturday after a midweek slate of Champions League games. Leicester travel to Stoke to kick off the weekends action on Saturday, before Everton host Watford on Sunday to finish off matchweek 11. Here are five bold predictions about what will happen.
Sean Dyches Burnley are on fire this season. The Clarets have had their best start to a Premier League campaign and are currently only three points back of fourth-place Chelsea. A big part of their good form has been strong performances in away matches, something that was severely lacking last season.
The Clarets have won at Chelsea and Everton, and picked up very respectable points away from home at Tottenham and Liverpool. The only team theyve lost to on their travels is Manchester City.
This weekend, the Clarets have a difficult trip away to Southampton, who are 10th in the league, three points behind Burnley. It should be a close game and goals will be at a premium, but Burnley have a narrow edge going on current form.
Dyches well-drilled side have only lost twice in the league this season and theyre great at grinding down teams as well as holding on to slender leads. A goal could be enough to get the win at St Marys on Saturday, and we fancy Burnley to do just that.
