That article has ben proven to be a lie
Not one of Obamas promises about the ACA have proven true.
1) No one saved money, it has made the actual cost of medical care higher for everyone
2) You could not keerp your plan if it did not conform even if you did like it
3) Msny people lost their Drs

Obamacare just wasn't well thought out and we were lied to. We just needed to improve on what we had. We will probably end up with a single payer plan going through insurance companies and we will be taxed for it.

You are making me physically LAUGH OUT LOUD!
That's hilarious!!!
Supposedly the article was posted in October, 2013 but it starts with saying that a women's life was saved because she was "able to get" the insurance that she needed and it saved her life.
- HOW IS THAT?!?! The portion of the affordable care act that abolished insurance company's ability to deny coverage for pre-existing conditions did not go into effect until 1/1/2014.
- So unless her insurance company eliminated pre-existing conditions as a result to deny coverage before there was a legal requirement to do so, her story is simply not true.
The next individual highlighted said "thankfully my mother can now afford her medications".
- again, this wouldn't have been true in Oct, 2013. But let's pretend she was speaking about "starting in Jan, my mother can afford her medications". Isn't one of the big complaints of the ACA is that medical insurance and healthcare treatment, including the cost of prescriptions is un-affordable to many.
You would have been foolish in 2010 when the ACA was passed or in 2013 when it was able to be implemented on a full scale, to think that America did not need some health insurance reform. It doesn't matter if you are a Republican, Democrat, Green Party member, independent or any other political member. You would also be foolish in Oct, 2015 if you thought this program was the best solution.
- Let's just talk about the tax reporting - how much is processing the 1095s and 1094s going to cost Americans????? Billions!!

HuffingtonPost is hardly a reliable news source - like most of the media.

People cannot get health care because they cannot pay the deductible and the people you are referring to are the people on welfare and they had it before Obamadon'tcare.

And how many has it cost because people lost the insurance they already had? It's always possible to come up with a few anecdotal cases and then dishonestly use them to claim that they prove a point.

Yep, including a friend of mine, who would be hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, have to declare bankruptcy and lose everything he owns if he hadn't been able to buy health insurance through the ACA. It's astonishing that conservatives hate Obama so much that they want people to go without health care.

Obamacare threw a lot of people off their perfectly good health insurance plans, and left them with nothing decent they could afford. Funny how you don't even mention them. Only sick welfare queens count for anything in your worldview?

Obviously, anecdotes, about the healthcare insurance section of the Affordable Care Act, are not going to convince people against the ACA.
But yes Republicans do care about this, because a lot of Republicans are healthcare providers who have to follow the new regulations on healthcare quality and outcomes that resulted in 50,000 lives saved.

However, Republicans care in a way you are not hoping for, as the 50,000 lives also resulted in 12 billion less paid to healthcare providers and those requirements that saved 50,000 lives are the increased regulation that many Republican candidates are saying we need to avoid.
