How much do you pay for full coverage?

I pay 375 for my car note a month and 250 for full coverage a month. Does this seem about right? I'm 20 and about 8 months ago I had gotten a ticket for something I didn't do and finally went to court and was proven not guilty. But I don't know if state farm insurance was high because of my age or because of the traffic ticket. Maybe both. Would I be able to get a cheaper price anywhere else. I'll be 21 in 6 months.

Unfortunately, till you reach age 25, car insurance will not be cheap, ANYWHERE.
Insurance is based on your age, where you live, any tickets and/or accidents, and how long you have been driving. Any tickets/accidents will stay on your record on average of 3 years, then drops off.
I suggest that you call up an agent who does business in MANY companies and see if you can get the price down. The problem with State Farm, like Allstate, is that they can only price you State Farm or Allstate prices, so unknown if better rates elsewhere.
One last thing, dont do web surfing, since you need to talk to an agent who can explain why high, or how to lower.
good luck

I pay less because I am older. What you pay does not seem right; it seems much too low for your age. You should be paying more until you are at least 25.

Shop around, but at your age, your rates are going to be high, nothing much you can do about that save convince your friends not to be disasters on the road, because that's why young people's insurance rates are so high.

Your insurance coverage is high because you under 25 yeas old. Getting tickets
does not help. You are in the most risky bracket under 25. Any accident could
prohibit you from getting insurance.

It sounds like a lot, that's $3,000/year. If you have a newer car and have collision and theft, probably a lot of it is for that. Also, you are young so that's a big part of it. I think in NY the rates go down for men when they are 25 or get married.
I would look at the policy and see what kind of insurance you have and if you can reduce some of your coverage. If you have a nice car you want to be able to get your car fixed or replaced if it is damaged or stolen, but you might save a lot of money by increasing your deductibles. Also, you might be able to reduce your liability insurance. For example, if your coverage is 100/300 maybe you can reduce it to 20/50. You want more coverage if you have assets that someone can get at, but if you are young and have little money and kill someone, they can sue you and win $1 million and you're responsible for whatever isn't covered by insurance, but if you have no money you can't pay.
Also, look into GEICO, they are usually cheaper.
