If someone in America has cancer or a disease that needs treatment, and they have no insurance, are they left to die? I'm terrified?

Trump is going to just repeal ACA and they said now they'll let insurers charge sick people more. I have a pre existing condition I was born with. Without treatment I could lose ability to function. So with less jobs offering insurance and insurance getting more expensive I'm worried that like many other Americans who work a lot but still can't afford insurance, he's even shrinking government help.
I'm scared. For me, for others. I heard so many others say "no there are insurers who will help sick " where? Weren't many left to die before?
Please provide sources.

under the requirements of the ACA, everyone is required to have health insurance, meaning those who have none of their own choosing pay their own bills. that is the law

Although some were left to die, far more were left to live. A person with insurance is just as likely to die as a person without insurance. A person with insurance typically gets far too much healthcare, and it actually hurts their health and increases the risk of death.

Sorry that you watch the wrong television. We don't have an influx of additional living people since Obamacare came to being a few years back. We only have a bunch of people paying out the back side for insurance. Nobody is going to die. And, if you're that dependent on what the government does, then you have bigger issues.

Yes, before Obama rode in on the unicorn, all uninsured people just rotted in the streets and insurance was impossible to get for anyone who wasn't a billionaire.

Move to some place like MA where the pre-exsisting crap, is already in the law. Or move to one of the majority of states that have state plans just for people in your position. You'll have at least two years from the end of the ACA before you are forced to make a decision anyways, so no need to panic.
