it would have been wiser to post this question to the hospital, no one here knows what their process is, but yes, if you didn't show an insurance card you will get the bill which you can then submit to your insurance company

Contact the hospital and obtain the department or business office that handles the bills. If you have been receiving health care in your community, the hospital may already have your insurance information in their files but verify everything is current. Don't leave any bills from your physician or the hospital go unanswered because you are putting your good credit score in the hands of someone else. The employees in the business office are doing their best but things can slip through the cracks so by calling you make sure the hospital's business office billed the accurate insurance company with the correct identification numbers. After your insurance company has paid their portion, many hospitals are offering a discount when the patient pays the remaining payment due in full immediately. If you put the payment on a high interest credit card to obtain a discount, you might be paying more. Another option , could be a payment plan over 3, 6 or 12 months. The advantage is the hospital's payment plan doesn't incurred interest on your unpaid balance.

Contact them immediately and give them your insurance information. If they send you a bill, then you will have to pay it yourself, with your own money, and then try to get reimbursed by your insurance later. If you want your insurance to pay the hospital so that you don't have to pay as much of your own money, then the hospital needs the insurance information.

Contact them and make sure they have all of your insurance information. If you coordinated and used a doctor who already has your information, they may have provided it to the hospital, but if I were you, I would confirm that they have your health insurance information before you start getting bills.

If your hospital is like my hospital, your data is already online and they don't need to see your insurance card.
If you get a bill then show them your card.

Ask them, but they were probably able to just look it up in the computer - many hospitals can.
