Yes, you can include them as drivers on your car insurance policy, even if they don't live here.

what kind of insurance, not a life insurance policy, not a health insurance, certainly not a vehicle insurance, and no one is named on your house insurance
you can name them as beneficiaries but this is not adding them to any policy

Sure you can. You will have to pay for it.
And they will not be covered for any medical treatment outside the country.

Health insurance? You can add them to the policy but most policies do not pay for foreign medical treatments. Even you wouldn't be covered when traveling abroad. That's why the sell travel insurance.

It would be of little use. Health insurance doesn't have a passport. They say it covers in "emergencies." But, if you want to go by that, I can introduce you to someone who just spent $80,000 not having travel health insurance when they left the country.
