im thinking yes, because by mature you mean that it is all paid up.regardless just look at your policy.if you dont have the policy anymore you may be able to go online to get a copy of it or just call the office you are with and maybe they can get you a copy.you will have to have a death certificate ect.to file so just call or write that company.

It pays according to the policy. READ IT. Most policies pay when the person is dead, with exceptions such as suicide. Some exceptions are for a period of time.

Yes, if it is active at the time of death. "Matured" usually means, a whole life policy, where the insured person has reached the end of the paying in, so the "death benefit" pays out in full to the policy owner.
Once the policy pays out under "maturity", it doesn t pay out a second death benefit.

Define "matured". What exactly do you mean by that, and then I can answer.

You need to check the "fine print" in the policy; these vary from policy to policy and no general answer is likely to be accurate.

Read the policy.
For the one that I have, if I did in the first year, I only get the premiums back. If I die in the second year, I get two times the premiums back. The full amount is only paid after 2 years.

What, exactly, does "matured" mean in this context? I sell plenty of life insurance, no clue what you mean by that...
