In most states the deadline to purchase insurance was December 31. In some states, like California, you can purchase coverage until January 31. If you purchase before Jan 15th, the insurance will be in effect on February 1st. If you wait until Jan 15th or later it will be effective March 1st.
The only way that you can give legitimate insurance coverage 24 hours a day is on the insurance marketplace for your state or on the website of the insurance company.

You go to the website of your state or federal insurance exchange and purchase health insurance. Open enrollment ends January 31.

None. The open enrollment period end December the 31, 2017. You cannot apply for health insurance until next open enrollment period. This is a form of socialism and control. Americans have lost there rights to the free market when it comes to their own health and well being. Health insurance is only sold through the Federal Government Exchange. Even if you go to a broker, they still apply through the Federal Exchange. American are being screwed big time. My suggestion, apply for Medicaid in your State. When they ask for your future income. Tell them the truth, $0.00. You cannot honestly tell them an unknown amount. You will get coverage for a year for very little. When the year is up, they will review your income. You will lose insurance and have to reapply. Claim $0.00. They cannot bill you. It is other government agency's responsibility to report any changes in circumstances. 1st, circumstances is not defined. 2nd, who are government reporting agency's? Who cares, I am not calling anyone to tell them to report any changes in my circumstances. It is not my responsibility. The last couple of times I have ask for help, I have been told "I am sorry" "call someone else". So, I have save $26,000 in premiums by staying out of the ACA exchange. Got insurance for my family through Medicaid. Have reported work related income as is being recommended by some States.
If you have an emergency, most hospital will sign you up for temporary Medicaid at the time you are admitted. That is how I got enrolled initially. I then re enrolled my whole family at a later date outside of the ACA open enrollment period.
America is being screwed big time by the Health Insurance PAC's. 65% of their income is tax payer subsidized. They made $70,billion in profit last year. Yes, tax payer subsidized profits. Number one PAC in America, Health Insurance PAC. Imagine that.

It doesn't matter if you do it today or Monday - most coverages won't start until February 1st, earliest - and since you're outside of "open enrollment", they don't have to actually offer you coverage AT ALL.
Health insurance companies aren't open to sell policies on weekends.

You can try Healthcare.gov.
Trump cut funding for the program, but it is still online (off and on),so you might have trouble logging in.
Most insurance companies have websites that you can go to as well as toll free phone numbers you can call 24/7.
