It should considering that cataracts can blind you if you don't take care of them. You will need to get an order from a doctor and obtain pre-authorization for such a surgery within their network.

YES. My (late) husband had cataract surgery back in 2012 for both eyes.
He was on Medicare and it is covered, (but) since on Advantage, you are limited to certain doctors in your zip code. So I suggest you go to the Advantage website or call them and ask (which) doctors take the Advantage plan.

All Medicare Advantage plans in all locations cover cataract surgery. They also all cover a new pair of glasses (with limits) after such surgery. That is a requirement by Medicare.
