First claim for water damage with liberty mutual?

My house recently has got sewer water all over it my hallway my bed rooms and my bathroom are pretty much flooded..and my husband made a claim but I was wondering if anyone new if it would raise our house insurance through the roof..it's our first claim on the house or anything. It's liberty mutual.

How did the "sewer water" get all over your house? FLOOD is excluded under every homeowners policy. Broken pipes, the water damage might be covered - if the house wasn't vacant. Overflowing toilets - NOT covered. Backup of sewer & drains - might be covered, if you bought the extra endorsement.
Yes, it will raise your rates - even if it's not covered.

Hopefully your husband contacted your agent before you made the claim because many homeowner policies do not include sewer backup. If you don't have the proper endorsement you won't have coverage. However, the fact that you have the damage the insurance company may decide to cancel your coverage.
If you do have the proper endorsement it may or may not increase your rates, depending on the extent of the damage and your deductible amount. If it does it depends on your location and a number of other factors. Nobody here can answer without knowing a lot more information.
