NONE have ever asked me about credit scores. ALL have checked my credit score.

No. All companies look at credit scores. People with poor credit are proven to be higher-risk people and are charged higher rates.

Affordable huh???
There are a handful of companies out there who don't run credit or don't really care about credit...but their premiums start higher because they know (statistically) that people with poor credit cause more problems (claims). I'm not saying you are a bad driver because you have bad credit, I am telling you what the statistics say...

All of them, since no insurance company has ever even asked me.

Geico, maybe. At least, they were the only large one in most states at one time. This may have changed.
In California, all of them (CA law doesn't allow car insurance prices to be based on credit score).

Yes, but there's a catch. Infinity insurance will, at your request, give you an auto insurance quote WITHOUT a credit check. However, if you opt for this, you get the highest rates they have, as if you have horrible credit.
And, "affordable" is so incredibly subjective - if you have a poor driving record, are a male under 23, or have a poor credit score, there probably isn't going to be anything affordable.

There are none - credit scores are one of the main factors (with age, location, type of car, past history) in setting rates. People with lower credit scores tend to have more claims.

That's like asking for cheap life insurance for unhealthy people.

Your credit affects your risk rating. Poor credit costs you in insurance premiums (along with everything else). And if they don't check your credit, expect to pay the highest rates, as if you had really bad credit.
