You can't use any insurance "to cover the remaining balance". If you have more than one insurance, then the total paid by insurance is the same as if you have only one, and you have to pay the same as if you had only one insurance company.
The other catch is that most insurance companies that say they cover braces will only cover traditional metal braces; they won't cover Invisalign.

Typically they cover about $1,000 and you have to pay the rest. No one will cover the rest; you have to pay that.

Even if braces are covered, it's a very limited amount, and most of the cost will be out of pocket.

A)  Sure they cover Invisalign.
B)  Typically IF they cover braces, it's a "lifetime benefit" which includes benefits received under other policies.  So, you can't double dip.

Insurance will never pay off a balance for any service performed prior the insurance becoming effective (Medicaid being the exception).
You might find an employer sponsored supplemental plan, if not...you likely aren't getting any insurance coverage.
