Residents in Malvern were left bewildered after a shopping trolley was discovered hanging from the top of a lamppost.
Fire crews were called out to deal with the “dangerous structure”, which was spotted perched around 32ft in the air at a retail park in the Worcestershire town.
Gemma Barker, who noticed the bizarre sight, said: “Yesterday evening after work, I pulled onto the retail park and looked up as I approached M&S at the trolley dangling from the lamp post and couldn’t stop laughing.
“It looked like it couldn’t be possible for something that heavy to be all the way up there – and yet it was.
“No idea who did it or how they did it, but it made me laugh.
“I honestly thought nobody would believe me if I told them, so I tried to photograph it as best I could.”
